All the wonderful beaches of Cefalù

Cefalù is located about 70km from Palermo and is one of the most visited tourist resorts in Sicily.

When visiting Cefalù, it is impossible not to take advantage of the beautiful days to fully enjoy its splendid sea, but lovers of tranquility can always find other quieter and more reserved beaches a few kilometers from the town, easily accessible and equally breathtaking.

Here are some of the most famous beaches:

Mazzaforno beach
The ideal beach for snorkelers who, thanks to the presence of numerous rocks, can admire the vast marine fauna in truly crystal clear waters. It is a small bay with the particularity of being set in a breathtaking landscape.

Caldura beach
It is a pebble beach dominated by a high cliff from which it takes its name, and from which the bravest can dive. The access to the beach is free but there are also equipment to rent and refreshment points. Caldura beach is 20 minutes from the center of Cefalù.

Settefrati beach
This beach is dominated by some rocks to which it owes its name. There are, in fact, seven rocks placed in a row, a short distance from each other, emerging from the water.

Capo Playa beach
It takes its name from a well-known district in the city, it is very large and characterized by a sand and pebble coast. Ideal for lovers of surfing and sailing, its waters are very clean, but the seabed is not progressive and drops abruptly not far from the shore, so it is not a coast suitable for children. This beach is also easily accessible by public transport.

Sant’Ambrogio beach
It is a less known and therefore less crowded coast, ideal for those who want to enjoy the sea in complete relaxation. The water is very clean and transparent. It is located 6 km from Cefalù towards Messina.

Pollina beach
It is one of the largest beaches in Cefalù, easily accessible from the historic center. With its 11 kilometers of coastline, it is the beach for those who love to have fun, especially in the evening as here they organize parties and bonfires with lots of music.

Salinelle beach
Another very popular beach in Cefalù is Salinelle. It is located 8 km from Cefalù, and it is a long stretch of sand where there are equipped beaches and free areas. Excellent beach for those who love windsurfing, for groups of friends and for those who want to have fun. The sea is clean but the seabed is already deep not far from the shore, so it is not recommended for children.
